Template notice
This document is a starting template covering GDPR / UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act 2023, and South Africa's POPIA. Items marked [PLACEHOLDER] must be completed and the whole document reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication. Privacy contact: privacy@abscode.com.
1. Agreement
These Terms form a binding agreement between you (or the organisation you represent) and Abscode Technologies LLP ("Abscode") governing access to the Abscode Document AI APIs, SDKs, and website (the "Service"). By creating an account, generating an API key, or calling the APIs you accept these Terms.
2. The Service
Abscode provides hosted Document AI APIs — OCR, PII masking, structured extraction (Basic and Pro), and rule-based Document Analysis — billed per page against prepaid credit. Features and rates are described at Pricing. We may improve or modify the Service over time.
3. Accounts, API keys & acceptable use
You are responsible for keeping API keys secret and for all usage under your account. You agree not to submit unlawful content, infringe others' rights, attempt to breach security, reverse engineer, or resell the Service without authorisation, and to comply with applicable law (including obtaining any consents needed to process personal data in documents you submit).
4. Credit, billing & trials
The Service is pay-as-you-go: you purchase prepaid credit (Razorpay in India, Stripe globally) and consume it per page at the published rates. Bonus credit on larger packs is additional credit, not a cash refund. The ₹500 free trial credit is one-time per organisation. Prepaid and bonus credit is non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Customer Content & ownership
You retain all rights to the documents you submit and to the structured outputs returned to you. You grant Abscode a limited licence to process Customer Content solely to provide the requested operation. Documents are auto-purged after processing and are not used to train models. Abscode and its licensors own all rights in the Service software, APIs, brand, and documentation.
6. Service levels & support
We target 99.5% uptime and p95 latency under 8 seconds for a 10-page document, with email support (24h response) for pay-as-you-go customers. Enterprise SLAs are set out in the applicable order.
7. Warranties & limitation of liability
The Service is provided on a commercially reasonable basis and, to the extent permitted by law, "as is" without implied warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, and Abscode's aggregate liability is limited as set out in the applicable order or, if none, the fees paid in the preceding 12 months. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm liability cap]
8. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, or legal/security reasons.
9. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of [PLACEHOLDER: city], India have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory rights in your country of residence. Questions: api@abscode.com.
